New York B.A.S.S. Youth Program/Connect Scale Tournament Rules and Regulations Tournament Registration: Forms: The registration form is located on our Facebook page (New York Bass Youth Program). Please fill out the Google form associated with the event. Pay and submit form. Note: The registration process will not continue until both form and payment are received. Connect Scale App: Once we receive your completed form and payment you will be sent an invitation email from the NY BASS Youth Program/Connect Scale inviting you to participate and to sign on to the event on the Connect Scale tournament platform. Please download the Connect Scale App on your mobile devise and familiarize yourself with its capabilities. Note: All registration forms will be processed on the evening of the day they were received. Note: The email address used to fill out the Google entry form will be used as your identifier throughout the tournament. Catch Registration: Catch registration involves taking three pictures. The first is of the anglers holding their live catch. The second is showing the length of your bass with your approved cloth sewing ruler in clear view. The third is of the fish with the ruler around it to verify the girth. All photos must be taken with the appropriate measuring tools and in clear view for submission. Note: Approved measuring tool can be purchased by following this link : 3 Fish Photographs Required: After landing your catch and removing it from your line take 3 photographs of… Photo #1: Selfie Photo - Have a photograph taken with your face and a side view of the bass clearly showing in the photo. Photo #2: Length Photo - (see Diagram 1 below) With an approved soft cloth sewing measuring tape take 1 photo of the length with the cloth ruler in clear view below the bass. Note: Photo must clearly show the tournament I.D. code in the picture. Photo #3: Girth Photo- (see Diagram 2 below) With an approved soft cloth sewing measuring tape take 1 photo of the ruler around your catch to verify girth. Note: Photo must clearly show the tournament I.D. code in picture. The judges will only go off what measurements they see in the photos. Only two species of bass will be considered for qualification. They will be the largemouth black bass (Micropterus salmoides), and smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieu). Where can I fish? All bass entered must be caught within the territorial waters of each of the states mentioned on the registration form. When can I fish? The tournament runs from dates and times mentioned on the registration form. All bass must be caught within this time period. All bass caught must be submitted/uploaded by midnight of the last day of the tournament. How much is it to fish? $20 for each adult angler (an adult angler is18 years and older) $10 for each Youth angler (a youth is below 17 years and younger) How can I fish and compete? To be eligible to compete and win prizes, the entrant must: (a) Complete all mandatory forms (b) Pay required entrance fee (c) Read the Tournament Rule and Regulations Can my catch be rejected? The Tournament Director reserves the right to deny or reject a submitted catch. If your catch is rejected you will receive an email explaining the reason why. Please familiarize yourself with the catch submittal process stated above. Can I get my money back? Once an angler is entered in the tournament NO REFUNDS will be given. What can I win? Prizes will be awarded as follows: How big do my entered fish need to be? To promote conservation, only those bass meeting or exceeding the minimum requirements established by the state in which they are caught will be counted. All state and local laws apply. Is this a catch and release tournament? All tournaments run by New York B.A.S.S. Youth Program are catch and release tournaments. All fish caught are to be measured, photographed and released. All state and local laws apply. What mode of fishing can I use? All bass must be caught alive, hooked in the mouth and taken on a rod and reel according to the regulations of the state in which the catch was made. Only two species of bass will be considered for qualification. They will be the largemouth black bass (Micropterus salmoides), and smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieu). Where can I fish? All bass entered must be caught within the territorial waters of each of the states mentioned on the registration form. When can I fish? The tournament runs from dates and times mentioned on the registration form. All bass must be caught within this time period. All bass caught must be submitted/uploaded by midnight of the last day of the tournament. How much is it to fish? $20 for each adult angler (an adult angler is18 years and older) $10 for each Youth angler (a youth is below 17 years and younger) How can I fish and compete? To be eligible to compete and win prizes, the entrant must: (a) Complete all mandatory forms (b) Pay required entrance fee (c) Read the Tournament Rule and Regulations Can my catch be rejected? The Tournament Director reserves the right to deny or reject a submitted catch. If your catch is rejected you will receive an email explaining the reason why. Please fill out the Google form associated with the event. Pay and submit form. Note: The registration process will not continue until both form and payment are received. Connect Scale App: Once we receive your completed form and payment you will be sent an invitation email from the NY BASS Youth Program/Connect Scale inviting you to participate and to sign on to the event on the Connect Scale tournament platform.
